I'm on yet again another diet, and I'm looking for dinner recipes, that are low fat, but wont still leave me hungry afterwards. So has anyone read or created something that has helped them along the way of their diet? CheersDiet Dinner Help! Recipes anyone?
Some of my favourites:
-'Faux' sushi. Smoked salmon wrapped up in brown rice with some steamed veggies on the side.
-A super quick one is tuna on a slice of toasted rye bread with low-fat cheese melted on top.
-Turkey or veggie burgers with sweet potato fries (you can usually buy these bagged and pre-chopped in grocery stores)
-Baked salmon with lemon and spiced rice (regular brown rice with paprika, cayenne pepper, etc.)
-Whole-grain tortillas with grilled chicken, low-fat cheese, any veggies you want inside.
-Chickpea salad: fresh spinach, chopped up walnuts, chickpeas, grated carrot, light oil dressing.
-Modified Cobb salad: lettuce with sliced chicken, low-fat cheese, chopped egg, chopped broccoli.
-Extra-lean ground beef stir-fry.Diet Dinner Help! Recipes anyone?
Baked potato always fills me up. Try it with a small amount of cheese and loads of salad.
Wholemeal pitta bread filled with rice and vegetables and a spicy seasoning (add white meat or quorn for extra taste).
Cheese, onion and tomato pasta, boil your pasta and then grill a little bit of cheese, tomatoes and onions on top of it.
Slimming world have ';syn free'; chips; chip some potatoes, boil them to soften the middle, bash them in the pan to rough up the edges and then bake them untill cooked through and golden. They're delicious.
Beans are also great for loosing weight, they're healthy and filling.
Well done for making some healthy changes. I'm also loosing weight through healthy eating and exercise so if you need any help, email me. I've learnt loads about it.
Good luck!
quorn! I replace every thing that would be meat, with it. Spag Bol' Chilly even Curry's with the chicken style. It seems animal fat is the stuff my body holds on to. Since I gave up eating meat I have dropped 2 stone!!! and it's staying off.
