I have a great recipe for talupas on my blog. My husband and kids LOVE this - my son is now in the Marines and when he comes home, he always requests this for supper at some time. It's basically tacos on a flat shell with refried beans added. It's on my blog:

Soup and sandwiches is an all time staple.

But...try this...you'll need crousants, hopefully buttered, her favorite meat like salami, or ham or pastrami for example, get spreadable cheese, and if she likes pepperoncini's, lettuce, tomatoe, bacon, capers, also you'll need her favorite cheese...I recomend Havati slices, Provolone and Mozzarella and or Assagio.

Slice the crousant length wise...spread the cheese on both halfs lighly...if she likes mustards, try a brown deli style mustard...I like Jack Daniels Honey Mustard.

Add in the meat you want her to taste first, then a slice of provolone or mozzarella...that will give the sandwich bite the meat taste with a mellow cheese following...next put on some lettuce and or pepperoncini, tomatoes, then add another meat along with a sharper cheese like Assagio or Havarti. Ok ...now you have a gourmet sandwich.

Try a special Campbells creme soup...to give her surf and turf...try the lobster soup or whatever shellfish soup they have...it's more expensive but hey! It's Mom right?

Top this off with your moms favorite tea...I like peach tea, raspberry and sweet dreams with sandwiches and soup.

Go get 'em!!
